Her books include Building a validity argument for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (Routledge, 2008) and Tips for teaching with CALL (Pearson-Longman, 2008) and awards include the 2015 American Association for Applied Linguistics Distinguished Service and Scholarship Award. She served as editor of TESOL Quarterly (1999-2004) and the ten-volume Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics (Wiley, 2013); she will begin a term as co-editor of Language Testing in 2016.
